San Diego County Tax Sale Action



What is a Tax Sale?

A tax sale is the sale of a real estate property that results when a taxpayer reaches a certain point of delinquency in unpaid property tax payments. 

What results then is a County-prepared public auction of the property(s) in question, where participants can submit a bid. All properties start with a minimum bid and are sold to the highest bidder.  

How it Works

The bidding period itself commences March 12th and ends March 17th. 

However, in order to participate in the auction, all potential bidders must REGISTER by MARCH 4TH.
